PARABOLIC ARCH It is located along the Paseo civico, is 18 m high, was designed by German technicians. It is made of quarried pink stone and in the front is the votive flame that is lit only on patriotic commemoration occasions. The parabolic arch was raised in honor of the heroes of the War of the Pacific, like Admiral Miguel Grau and Colonel Francisco Bolognesi. It was inaugurated on 28 August 1959, being the President of the Republic Don Manuel Prado, and designed by German technicians.
