TRANVIAHISTORY:

The first railway services of passengers in the world began in 1807 by the Oystermouth Railway, (Oystermouth Railroad) in Wales [], using designed vehicles especially in a line of street car thrown by horses constructed for the use of the transport of merchandise. The passengers who paid tariff were transported in a line between Oystermouth, Mumbles and the wharves of Swansea. This technology I do not take in arriving at the New World since for the 1832 it is introduced in New York, and to Buenos Aires the first Buenosairean street car circulated in 1863. And returning to the Old World, it began to circulate around Paris in 1854, at Spain arrived in 1871 and at D5usseldorf, in Germany in 1876

The advantage of the traction animal (horses or mules), was that they could drag more weight thanks to the basic characteristic that made possible the development of the transport by railroad: the low coefficient of friction between rails and wheel that a much smaller power consumption with respect to the transports allows on tires.

The first electrical street car was put in good condition by Werner von Siemens in Berlin in 1879, [] followed Budapest in 1887, [] Bucharest in 1894, Sarajevo in 1895, [] [] whereas in Switzerland interurban forward edge of the Tramway Vevey-Montreux-Gaudy (VMC), was abrió in 1888.
