THE RAILWAY MUSEUM
The Tacna Railway Museum is a unique tourist attraction. Unique in South America, has great historical and architectural value, among other reasons, because the station retains 90% of its original features. It also has photos, newspaper accounts, official texts of the state
about the activity of the Tacna-Arica railroad, etc.. Among other things,
newspapers of the time of captivity, instead primordial "La Voz del Sur", by
journalist Federico Barreto, founder of the famous "Procession of the flag",
on 28 July 1901, when Tacna was captive. Also shown photographs, printed on the railroad and the cities of Tacna and Arica before 1929. we
can find several rooms devoted to displaying pieces of other railways in the country, including the Central Railway, the highest peak in Peru.
